This case-based enduring activity will cover the treatment and management of patients with diabetes.
This educational activity is intended for primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, certified diabetes educators, and other HCPs who care for patients with diabetes.
Upon completion of the program, attendees should be able to:
- Describe how a patient-centered approach to the care of patients with T2DM can help improve glycemic control, reduce complications and improve patient self- management
- Assess strategies for the use of various oral and injectable medications for treatment intensification in patients with T2DM not meeting their glycemic goals
- Review updated guidelines and algorithms pertinent to the management of patients with T2DM, with or without concomitant heart failure or renal disease
- Evaluate the role of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP-1 receptor agonists in managing cardiovascular and renal risk in patients with T2DM
