Clinical Conversation Exchange

The Clinical Conversations Exchange Meetings have been developed for cardiologists and primary care providers, and are case-based, collaborative workshops. Each program in the series is led by 2 faculty: a cardiologist, and a primary care provider, along with a moderator. To help foster the interactive environment, the program chairs have developed worksheets and cases that will be paired with whiteboard animations and sent to learners to view and complete in preparation for the meetings. Additionally, there is an interactive decision tool for selecting GLP-1 receptor agonists for managing cardiovascular risk in T2DM patients. The pre-work will allow for the faculty and moderator to dive right into the content, which will include patient scenarios with Q&A to provide learners practice identifying patients who would benefit from incretin-based treatments, choosing the appropriate GLP-1 RA, and applying interdisciplinary collaboration. The goal for these programs is to elicit a free exchange of knowledge and experiences that will assist in making all learners more confident in caring for patients with T2DM and cardiovascular comorbidities.
