MedGames is a comprehensive and interactive gamification-based CME activity that presents important topics in atrial fibrillation (AF) in a fun and engaging manner. It covers the healthcare gaps related to the treatment and management of atrial fibrillation (AF), impacting outcomes through guidelines and best practices, appropriate antiarrhythmic use, and shared decision-making. This program is hosted by Ken Jennings, the new host of a popular game show, and features an expert in atrial fibrillation (AF), Dr. Gerald Naccarelli.
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of US-based general cardiologists, internal medicine physicians, and primary care physicians involved in the care of patients with AF.
After completing the CME activity, learners should be better able to:
- Interpret evidence from clinical trials assessing antiarrhythmic drugs used for the management of AF
- Evaluate the potential clinical benefits of early identification of AF and early management of rhythm control using antiarrhythmic drugs
- Implement shared decision-making approaches in your practice aimed at improving patient outcomes and relieving AF-associated burdens
