PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This educational activity will examine the burden of prurigo nodularis and the mechanisms of emerging therapies targeting the underlying pathophysiology of the disease. In addition, it will evaluate clinical trial data on the efficacy and safety of current and emerging treatment options and explain the how best to design personalized treatment plans incorporating systemic and topical agents to address symptoms and improve outcomes in patients with prurigo nodularis.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of dermatologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other health care providers who diagnose, treat, and/or manage patients with prurigo nodularis.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After completing the CME activity, learners should be better able to:
- Describe the burden of prurigo nodularis and the mechanism of emerging therapies target targeting the underlying pathophysiology of disease
- Assess clinical trial data on the efficacy and safety of current and emerging treatment options for prurigo nodularis
- Design personalized treatment plans for prurigo nodularis that incorporate systemic and topical agents to address symptoms and improve patient outcomes
