PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This CME activity provides clinicians with evidence-based approaches to optimize management of anemia in myelofibrosis (MF). Participants will examine current guideline recommendations for sequencing anemia-directed therapies, review safety and efficacy data for approved and emerging agents, and evaluate patient characteristics predictive of benefit from early frontline anemia-sparing strategies. The program emphasizes individualized decision-making to improve outcomes, reduce toxicity, and deliver timely, patient-centered care across diverse clinical scenarios and treatment settings.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This program is designed to address the educational needs of the multidisciplinary hematology-oncology team, including hematologists, pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals working together to address the needs of patients with anemia due to MF.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Apply guideline recommendations for the management and sequencing of anemia-directed therapies for patients suffering from anemia associated with MF
- Integrate the safety and efficacy data for emerging and approved anemia targeting agents in MF to inform treatment strategies
- Assess patient characteristics that could predict benefit from early frontline anemia-sparing therapies in MF to provide appropriate and timely treatment
