PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This online activity is focused on the team involved in the management of patients with DR.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of optometrists and ophthalmologists who diagnose and manage patients with DR or who are at risk for developing DR.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After completing the CME activity, learners should be better able to:
- Review the importance of proper eye care in patients with diabetes
- Integrate strategies that focus on appropriate assessment and referral of patients with DR to improve patient communication and team-based care
- Evaluate the efficacy and safety of currently available agents that target the VEGF pathway used to manage patients with DR and DME as they relate to the pathophysiology of diabetic eye conditions and study populations
