PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This virtually live educational program is designed for community hematologists and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with sickle cell disease (SCD). The sessions will focus on evaluating the broad disease burden associated with SCD beyond pain crises, summarizing efficacy, safety, and tolerability data from clinical studies of current and emerging PK-based therapeutic options, and developing long-term, individualized management strategies that address organ dysfunction as well as quality-of-life outcomes(QoL).
TARGET AUDIENCE
The proposed education will be designed for community hematologists and associated healthcare providers (HCPs).
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Evaluate burdens associated with SCD beyond pain crisis
- Summarize efficacy, safety, and tolerability results from clinical studies assessing current and emerging PK-based therapeutic options for the treatment of SCD
- Design long-term individualized management plans for patients with SCD that address organ dysfunction and QoL
