PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This continuing educational activity is designed for healthcare professionals managing infants with Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). It equips clinicians to identify the epidemiology, burden, and risk factors associated with severe RSV disease in infants. The program also enables participants to analyze the mechanisms of action and clinical trial data of new and emerging RSV treatments, including prophylactic medications and vaccination strategies; and to develop individualized evidence-based treatment plans based on current clinical guidelines.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of pediatricians, family medicine physicians, NPs, and PAs involved in the care of infants with RSV.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Identify the epidemiology, burden, and risk factors associated with severe RSV disease in infants
- Analyze the mechanisms of action (MOAs) and recent trial data regarding new and emerging RSV immunization strategies, including monoclonal antibody (mAb) prophylaxis and maternal vaccination
- Utilize evidence-based guidelines to determine appropriate RSV immunization strategies for individual patients
