PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This Day-in-the-Life Satellite Symposium is designed to educate healthcare professionals on factors responsible for the increased risk of adult RSV. Combining didactic and case-based learning, program participants will walk away with strategies to recognize the differential burden of RSV disease in adult populations and incorporate evidence-based risk assessments in daily practice to identify adults at greater risk of severe RSV infection. Attendees will also be updated on ways to improve guideline-based RSV vaccine uptake among adults.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of infectious disease physicians and associated advanced practice providers, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and pharmacists, involved in the care of adults at risk for RSV.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Recognize the burden of RSV disease in adults and how this impact varies among different populations
- Incorporate evidence-based risk assessments into practice to identify adult patients at high risk for severe RSV disease
- Create strategies to promote RSV vaccine uptake in adults that is supported by guideline recommendations and vaccine efficacy data
