PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This innovative Rett syndrome (RTT) educational initiative will provide education for healthcare providers involved in the diagnosis and management of RTT. The interactive virtual symposium will open with a caregiver story, followed by expert-led, case-based education on developmental surveillance, screening, timely diagnosis, current and emerging treatment strategies, and updated data from ongoing clinical studies. An interactive animation and clinical analysis will address the efficacy, safety, and management of GI adverse events associated with trofinetide. The activity will conclude with practical strategies for managing GI comorbidities and treatment-related adverse events, as well as a brief presentation from a national RTT patient advocacy organization. The overall goal of this comprehensive summit is to optimize patient- and caregiver-centered care and improve the lives of children and families affected by RTT.
