PROGRAM DESRIPTION
This video podcast series explores the latest information on biomarker testing in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and the emerging capabilities of digital pathology. Expert faculty discuss challenges related to tissue availability, testing workflows, and coordination across interdisciplinary teams, as well as the evolving role of digital pathology in addressing these challenges. The series also examines the implications for clinical practice and the ongoing role of clinicians in improving patient care.
EPISODE 1 OVERVIEW
This episode describes the evolution of biomarker testing in NSCLC and its role in treatment selection, including emerging and newly relevant biomarkers that are shaping personalized treatment strategies. The discussion also examines strategies to optimize tissue acquisition, reflex testing, and comprehensive biomarker testing to support timely therapeutic decision-making.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of medical oncologists, oncologists, nurses/nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and physician assistants involved in the evaluation and management of patients with lung cancer.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Describe the evolving landscape of oncology biomarkers, including the expanding use of established and emerging biomarkers in NSCLC and their role in guiding targeted therapy selection.
