PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This satellite symposium is designed to increase the health care professional’s ability to: discuss at-risk populations and the clinical presentations of nontuberculous mycobacterial lung disease, evaluate recent and emerging data on the management of individuals with NTM-LD in concert with the development of individualized treatment goals, and describe multidisciplinary strategies to advance communication that optimizes medication adherence and minimizes adverse event morbidity.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This educational activity is designed to meet the needs of clinicians and those who have a role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with NTM‐LD, including healthcare professionals in infectious diseases, including pulmonologists, intensivists, infectious diseases physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and others.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After completing the activity, learners should be better able to:
- Discuss at-risk populations and the clinical presentations of nontuberculous mycobacterial lung disease
- Evaluate recent and emerging data on the management of individuals with NTM-LD in concert with the development of individualized treatment goals
