PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This enduring is aimed to increase participants’ ability to diagnose NTM-LD based on clinical presentation in at-risk patients; apply guidelines and emerging clinical findings to the treatment of individuals with NTM-LD; and use strategies to enhance multidisciplinary communication to improve ongoing monitoring and adverse event management.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This educational activity is designed to meet the needs of clinicians and those who have a role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with NTM-LD, including health care professionals in infectious diseases, including pulmonologists, intensivists, infectious diseases physicians, pharmacists, and others (NPs and PAs).
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Describe the clinical presentation of the at-risk patient for nontuberculous mycobacterium-lung disease
- Apply emerging clinical findings to the treatment of individuals with NTM-LD, in alignment with patient goals
- Discuss strategies to enhance multidisciplinary communication to optimize ongoing monitoring and adverse event management
