PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This educational symposium is tailored for dermatology clinicians to enhance their expertise in diagnosing and managing of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). The program will review evidence-based best practices and clinical strategies for early HS diagnosis, emphasizing the transformative role of biologic agents in treatment. It will also explore the practical use of these agents, focusing on individualizing therapy by balancing efficacy, safety, and patient-specific factors.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This educational activity is specifically designed for dermatology NPs and PAs, and dermatologists who care for patients with hidradenitis suppurativa.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Facilitate a timely and accurate diagnosis of HS using evidence-based diagnostic criteria
- Assess the mechanism of action of new and emerging biologic agents for HS in the context of the underlying pathophysiology of the disease
- Interpret efficacy and safety data for new and emerging biologic agents for the treatment of HS
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans in conjunction with patients and multidisciplinary colleagues to address HS and associated comorbidities
