PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This enduring will focus on strategies to identify CKD risk in patients with T2D and familiarity with novel strategies for modifying CKD risk and the risk of other chronic complications of T2D.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This enduring is designed to meet the educational needs of primary care clinicians working with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, nephrologists, endocrinologists, internal medicine physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other HCPs to ensure recognition of CKD risk in patients with T2D and novel strategies for modifying CKD risk and the risk of other chronic complications of T2D.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Review the most up-to-date data on pharmacologic properties of nonsteroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRAs) in patients with CKD and T2D
- Assess how current data affects clinical guideline updates recommending evaluation of cardiorenal risk profiles and integration of nonsteroidal MRAs in patients with CKD and T2D
- Appraise relevant data to determine and manage the risk of hyperkalemia in patients with CKD in T2D

This podcast will cover the multidisciplinary approach to the management of cardiorenal risk in patients with chronic kidney disease and type 2 diabetes.
TARGET AUDIENCE
