PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This educational activity is designed to meet the needs of healthcare practitioners involved in the care of patients with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs). The program aims to enhance clinical knowledge regarding treatment selection by examining tumor biology, key clinical characteristics, and indications for referral to specialized centers. Additionally, the activity will emphasize evidence-based strategies for sequencing targeted therapies and integrating recent clinical trial data into practice to optimize management and outcomes for patients with advanced GEP-NETs.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The proposed education will be designed to meet the educational needs of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine specialists, endocrinologists, advanced healthcare practitioners, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners (HCPs) involved in the multidisciplinary treatment of patients with (GEP-NETs).
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Summarize the considerations for treatment selection for advanced GEP-NETs, such as tumor biology and clinical traits, and referral criteria to expert centers
- Utilize evidence-based strategies for sequencing targeted therapies to enhance patient outcomes in advanced GEP-NETs
- Apply recent clinical trial data to inform use of novel therapies in practice for advanced GEP-NETs
