PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This case-based symposium is designed to address the educational needs of retina specialists who care for patients with geographic atrophy (GA) secondary to age-related macular degeneration (AMD). This expert-led presentation will examine the pathophysiology of GA, along with the role of the complement cascade, and practical use of advanced imaging techniques to support accurate diagnosis and ongoing monitoring. This program highlights the evolving therapeutic landscape, with a focus on clinical data and practical considerations for integrating recently approved and investigational therapies into patient-centered care. Participants will explore strategies for assessing disease progression, addressing patient-specific barriers, and optimizing disease management in collaboration with general ophthalmologists.
