PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This TeleECHO program will blend knowledge-based and scripted practice learning to enhance participants’ understanding of the mechanistic differences among current and emerging FVIIIa mimetics, as well as the safety and efficacy data for approved and emerging nonfactor replacement therapies, to inform treatment decisions in hemophilia. Through case studies, participants will apply clinical data to differentiate among current and emerging FVIIIa mimetics, inform treatment strategies, individualize therapy, and integrate patient needs and preferences into treatment plans. Immediate expert feedback will be provided to reinforce learning and support the application of knowledge to clinical practice.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for hematologists practicing in community-based settings.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Summarize the mechanistic differences between approved and emerging FVIIIa mimetic therapies for hemophilia.
- Utilize the latest safety and efficacy data for approved and emerging FVIIIa mimetics and other nonfactor replacement therapies to inform treatment decisions for hemophilia.
- Adopt individualized treatment strategies for patients with hemophilia through shared decision making and consideration of patient-specific and disease-specific factors.
