PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This dynamic, interactive educational activity is designed to enhance the knowledge and clinical competencies of healthcare providers who care for patients with food allergies. The program provides a comprehensive overview of the burden of food allergy, reviews current immunotherapy options, and explores clinical data on recently approved and emerging biologic treatments. Participants will evaluate the latest evidence supporting novel therapeutic strategies—including oral immunotherapy and anti-IgE therapy—and gain practical insights into integrating these novel therapies into treatment.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for primary care physicians, allergists, immunologists, pediatricians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses involved in the management of patients with food allergy.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Evaluate the full burden that food allergy has on patient physical and psychosocial health and their overall quality of life
- Describe when and how to use oral immunotherapy and food allergen nonspecific therapies when managing patients with food allergy
- Analyze the clinical data on the safety, efficacy, and tolerability of recently approved and emerging biologic therapies for the treatment of food allergy
