PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This case-based enduring activity will use an interactive and competitive game show format aiming to improve treatment for patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration and/or diabetic macular edema who do not achieve optimal outcomes due to insufficient responses to therapy or insufficient adherence. It aims to elucidate the benefits and limitations of current therapeutic approaches, equip participants with strategies for improving the durability of treatment response in patients receiving intravitreal therapies, and provide education on new and emerging treatment strategies.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of retina specialists, ophthalmologists, primary care providers, optometrists, and other healthcare providers who manage patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration and/or diabetic macular edema.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Analyze the benefits and limitations of conventional anti-VEGF therapies for patients with DME or nAMD
- Describe strategies for improving the durability of treatment response in patients with DME or nAMD
- Evaluate the efficacy, safety and mechanisms of new and emerging therapies for DME or nAMD
