Target Audience

This educational activity is designed to meet the educational needs of gastroenterologists, allergists, immunologists, pediatric gastroenterologists, pediatric allergists, pediatric immunologists, and specialty NPs and PAs involved in the treatment of adult and pediatric patients with eosinophilic esophagitis.

Learning Objectives

After completing the CME activity, learners should be better able to:

  • Promptly and accurately diagnose eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) based on the clinical and histologic presentation of EoE in pediatric and adult patients
  • Evaluate the mechanism of action, efficacy and safety of emerging agents that target the underlying inflammation in EoE
  • Develop treatment plans that promptly initiate therapy in patients with EoE to reduce the risk of disease progression and improve quality of life
