This enduring activity will be a faculty-led didactic and case-based lecture focusing on immune checkpoint inhibition and associated immune-related adverse events (irAEs).
This initiative is designed to meet the educational needs of medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, oncology pharmacists, oncology nurses and other healthcare professional involved in the management of patients with cancer who are treated or eligible for treatment with immunotherapy.
Upon completion of the program, attendees should be able to:
- Describe the role of tumor immune evasion in the development of cancer and review the rationale underlying the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors in the management of select solid tumors
- Implement guideline-recommended strategies to recognize, monitor, and manage immune-related adverse events associated with checkpoint inhibitors
