PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This program will explore the use of vaccines and monoclonal antibody therapies for the prevention and treatment of patients with COVID-19. Innovative virtual reality animations will delve into the mechanism of action of emerging vaccines and monoclonal antibodies, the rationale for early administration of monoclonal antibodies in recently infected and uninfected individuals, and compare active and passive immunity.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The innovative continuing education and tools developed for COVID-19 FRONTLINE will be publicly available for the entire healthcare community to use. The proposed activities will primarily target frontline doctors, such as emergency physicians, urgent care physicians, and intensive care physicians, with a secondary audience of pulmonologists, infectious disease specialists, hospitalists, and hospital pharmacists to help support them in their effort to optimize care of patients with COVID-19.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Provide HCPs with improved educational tools for patients on the difference between a vaccine for disease prevention and the use of monoclonal antibody therapies for prevention and/or treatment of COVID-19
- Compare and contrast biological implications of single and dual monoclonal antibody therapies and review the mechanism of action
- Critique the efficacy and safety of single and dual monoclonal antibody therapies recently authorized for patients with COVID-19
