PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This online activity will cover the treatment and management of patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of US-based oncology nurses, hematologists/oncologists, and other HCPs that form the multidisciplinary team involved in the management of patients with AML.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
On completing the program, attendees should be able to:
- Review therapeutic targets in AML, including BCL-2, FLT3, IDH1, IDH2, CD33, and the apoptotic and hedgehog signaling pathways
- Assess AML patients by risk categories based on cytogenetic and molecular information
- Describe current and novel therapeutic approaches for patients with previously untreated and relapsed/refractory AML
- Plan individualized treatment strategies of sequential and combination regimens for patients with AML by integrating new agents into the current treatment paradigm
- Discuss strategies that will improve communication, engagement, education, and decision making with AML patients and their healthcare providers
