PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This enduring activity assesses the efficacy, safety, and durability of emerging anti–VEGF therapies using pivotal trial data and real-world evidence. The program focuses on evidence-based patient selection for sustained-delivery and extended-interval regimens, considering disease characteristics, treatment burden, adherence, and procedural factors. It also addresses multidisciplinary, patient-centered strategies to improve access, enhance adherence, and optimize visual outcomes, particularly in underserved and rural settings.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Evaluate the efficacy, safety, and durability outcomes of novel anti-VEGF strategies based on pivotal clinical trial and real-world evidence.
- Apply optimal strategies to identify patients who may benefit from sustained-delivery or extended-interval anti-VEGF regimens, considering clinical characteristics, adherence challenges, and procedural considerations.
- Integrate patient-centered and multidisciplinary approaches to improve treatment access, adherence, and visual outcomes in diverse clinical settings, particularly in underserved and rural populations.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of retina specialists, ophthalmologists, and rural HCPs (ophthalmologists, optometrists, PCPs) involved in the care of patients with nAMD, DME, and DR.
