Learning Objectives

After completing the CME activity, learners should be better able to:

  • Recognize NMOSD as a disease associated with a range of significant symptoms, QOL detriments, and potentially serious comorbidities
  • Knowledgeably manage patients with NMOSD during the COVID-19 pandemic to minimize/prevent disease-related risks, medication-related complications, and possible COVID-19-associated infection
  • Review clinical trial data of newly available treatments for NMOSD, evaluating the therapeutic and safety advantages/disadvantages of each, and methods for most effectively integrating new treatments for NMOSD into clinical practice

Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of neurologists, neuro-ophthalmologists, and emergency physicians who treat patients with NMOSD.
