PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This enduring educational activity targets healthcare professionals involved in the screening, diagnosis, and management of patients with pulmonary hypertension in interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD). This program aims to enhance participants’ ability to recognize clinical signs and symptoms suggestive of PH in patients with ILD, apply best practices for screening and timely specialist referral, understand diagnostic criteria based on current guidelines and expert recommendations, and adopt personalized treatment strategies that align with guidelines, expert opinion, and patient-specific factors.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of primary care providers/internists, pulmonologists, cardiologists, rheumatologists, advanced practice providers (nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists), and other healthcare providers who are involved in the screening, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with PH-ILD.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Summarize clinical signs and symptoms that raise suspicion of PH in ILD patients and use best practices for screening and timely specialist referral
- Describe diagnostic criteria for PH-ILD based on current guidelines and expert recommendations
- Adopt personalized treatment approaches for PH-ILD based on practice guidelines, expert opinion, and patient-specific factors
