PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This activity provides an overview of the evolving landscape of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), including the rationale for current and emerging targeted treatment options and the supporting clinical evidence for patients with moderate-to-severe disease. In addition, the importance of screening and early diagnosis of HS will be highlighted as a key strategy for initiating targeted therapies earlier, thereby optimizing clinical outcomes and delivering more effective patient-centered care.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of dermatologists, dermatology nurse practitioners, and dermatology physician assistants involved in the management of patients with HS.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Review the mechanisms underlying the pathophysiology of HS, including the rationale for targeted therapies
- Apply evidence-based strategies for screening and diagnosing HS in a timely manner, including comorbidities associated with HS
- Combine the latest clinical evidence of targeted therapies into patient-centered treatment plans for patients with HS
