PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This case-based online activity will be designed to increase the ability of US-based endocrinologists, endocrine fellows, primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and healthcare professionals to utilize diagnostic assays and overall clinical evaluations to achieve a timely diagnosis of children with growth hormone deficiency (CGHD). In practice; recognize the efficacy and safety profiles associated with recombinant human GH therapy for CGHD. Upon approval, integrate LAGH preparations for use in the long-term treatment of CGHD, individualizing dosing and monitoring patients; and foster the continued care of patients with CGHD to adult care.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity is intended to meet the educational needs of US-based endocrinologists, endocrine fellows, primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and healthcare professionals who diagnose and manage children with growth hormone deficiency (CGHD).

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Evaluate CGHD screening and diagnostic strategies including appropriate tests and key elements of a differential diagnosis
  • Interpret data on the clinical profiles of and adherence rates to standard of care therapies for CGHD
  • Assess data from clinical trials of novel LAGH preparations that may be used for the long‐term management of CGHD, pending their approval
  • Design individualized strategies aimed at providing effective long‐term management of CGHD for those treated with LAGH preparations, pending approval
  • Facilitate the transition of patients with CGHD to adult care
