PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This case-based enduring activity will cover the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with cancer who are treated or eligible for treatment with immunotherapy.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of oncologists, oncology pharmacists, oncology nurses and other healthcare professionals involved in the management of patients with cancer who are treated or eligible for treatment with immunotherapy.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the program, attendees should be able to:
- Describe the pathophysiology of adult malignancies with a focus on tumor immunosurveillance and immune escape
- Review the efficacy and most frequent irAEs associated with immune checkpoint inhibitors approved for use in different malignancies
- Discuss the diagnosis, management, and monitoring of irAEs associated with immunotherapies
- Identify best practices for the identification and management of irAEs in the emergency room setting
