This whiteboard preceptorship is focused on the management of patients with opioid use disorder.
This activity is intended for the education of the addiction care team, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, researchers, and other healthcare providers involved in the care of patients with opioid use disorder.
After completing the CME activity, learners should be better able to:
- Discuss best practices on withdrawal management in opioid use disorder
- Review clinical trial data on the efficacy and safety of long-acting injectable and oral pharmacologic options in the management of opioid use disorder
- Describe clinical guidelines on the initiation and use of pharmacologic treatment options
