PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This TeleECHO program will blend knowledge-based and case-based learning to enhance participants’ understanding of the clinical and patient-related factors that contribute to the burden of migraine, including the differences between chronic and episodic migraine and approaches to assessing and managing migraine burden. Through interactive case studies, participants will apply current clinical evidence and guideline recommendations to identify candidates for available and emerging therapies, inform treatment decisions, and develop individualized care plans. The program will also emphasize patient-centered, multidisciplinary management of chronic migraine, with immediate expert feedback to reinforce learning and support the integration of evidence-based strategies into clinical practice.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of Community-based nurse practitioners who are involved in the care of patients with migraine.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Assess factors that contribute to the disease burden of migraines, clinical differences between chronic and episodic migraine, and identify and how to assess and manage disease burden
- Review clinical evidence and guideline recommendations to select appropriate candidates for available and emerging therapies for the prevention and treatment of migraine
- Integrate patient-centered, multidisciplinary approaches to optimize the management of CM
