PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This dynamic, panel-style educational program brings together expert perspectives from a rheumatologist, nephrologist, and family practice faculty member to provide a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to gout management. Through an interactive interview format, faculty will summarize the health risks and comorbidities associated with gout and discuss practical strategies to reduce long-term morbidity. The panel will review the underlying pathophysiology of gout, including the influence of lifestyle and genetic factors, and translate current guideline recommendations into real-world treatment selection and dosing decisions for long-term disease control. Emphasizing collaborative care, the discussion will also highlight best practices for patient education, appropriate referrals, and coordinated management of comorbidities to optimize outcomes across care settings.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This educational activity is intended for primary care professionals (PCPs), and advanced practice professionals (APPs), including nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs), nephrologists, and rheumatologists, including rheumatology NPs and PAs, as well as other members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
