This case-based enduring activity will cover the treatment and management of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS).
This activity is designed to meet the needs of neurologists, nurses, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals treating patients with MS.
Upon completion of the program, attendees should be able to:
- Identify differences in MS between African Americans and Caucasians and implement ways to overcome these disparities
- Review the safety and efficacy of current and emerging agents used for MS, with particular attention on the African American population
- Identify barriers and unmet needs from the patient perspective that lead to low adherence and poor outcomes
- Assess ways in which to more openly communicate with patients of any ethnicity in order to encourage their engagement across all aspects of their care
