TARGET AUDIENCE

This CME initiative is designed to meet the educational needs of medical oncologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers involved in the treatment of patients with breast cancer.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After completing the CME activity, learners should be better able to:

  • Describe the unique molecular and clinical characteristics of patients with triple-negative breast cancer
  • Review current systemic treatment options for patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer
  • Discuss the clinical trials data of immune checkpoint blockade in combination for the treatment of patients with metastatic, triple-negative breast cancer
  • Provide shared decision-making strategies for the patient’s and healthcare team’s responsibilities that will foster a multidisciplinary effort to optimize outcomes
