PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This case-based online activity will cover the treatment and management of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of hepatologists responsible for the care of patients with HCC as well as transplant surgeons, radiation oncologists, interventional and body radiologists, and medical oncologists within the Department of Veterans Affairs.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:

  • Interpret evidence from clinical trials assessing combined targeted therapies for the treatment of patients with advanced and/or metastatic HCC (mHCC)
  • Formulate management strategies that account for treatment-related adverse events (trAEs) associated with combined targeted therapies for the treatment of patients with advanced and/or mHCC
  • Summarize the roles and responsibilities assigned to hepatologists who participate in interdisciplinary management teams for patients with advanced and/or mHCC
