This initiative is designed to meet the educational needs of dermatologists, medical oncologists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the treatment and management of patients with cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.
After completing the CME activity, learners should be better able to:•
- Describe the mechanism of action of checkpoint inhibitors and the impact of high tumor mutational burden and tumor-inﬁltrating lymphocytes on treatment outcomes
- Identify patients with cSCC who are at high-risk of recurrence or metastasis and apply recommendations from current treatment guidelines to minimize risk
- Review clinical trial data supporting the use of checkpoint inhibitors in the management of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma
- Recognize and manage immune-related adverse events (irAEs) associated with checkpoint inhibitors
