Program Overview

This enduring activity, RSNA Roving Reporter, covers the highlights of the RSNA meeting in relation to the management of patients with Alzheimer’s Disease. RSNA was held December 2 – 6, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois.

Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of neurologists, imaging technologists, radiologists, internal medicine physicians, nurses and other healthcare practitioners involved in the diagnosis and management of patients with cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the program, attendees should be able to:

  • Explain the evidence supporting the role of amyloid deposition in Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis
  • Assess the clinical data regarding brain imaging in AD and amyloid-PET for the detection of cortical fibrillary amyloid in patients with cognitive impairment
  • Review and apply the criteria for proper use of amyloid-PET as recommended in a recent report from AITF, SNMM and AA
