This programming is designed to meet the educational needs of Emergency-department physicians and other healthcare professionals working as part of the multidisciplinary care team.
After completing the CME activity, learners should be better able to:
- Discuss the effects of ICI therapy on immune system cells that lead to IrAEs in patients with cancer seen by emergency physicians
- Describe the role of emergency physicians in the recognition of signs and symptoms of ICI IrAEs and their management in patients with cancer
- Review strategies to overcome barriers to the implementation of necessary practice changes for emergency physicians seeing cancer patients with ICI IrAEs
