PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This case-based enduring activity will cover the long-term treatment and management of patients with psoriasis.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity is intended for medical dermatologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in the management of patients with psoriasis.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After completing the CME activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Describe the rationale for higher PASI goals in patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis taking biologics
  • Review the pathophysiologic similarities between psoriasis and cardiovascular disease to better manage the psoriasis patient
  • Discuss patient-focused therapeutic goals and the role of biologics in pursuing these targets

Dr. Gelfand is a co-patent holder of resiquimod for treatment of cutaneous T cell lymphoma. Dr Gelfand is a Deputy Editor for the Journal of Investigative Dermatology receiving honoraria from the Society for Investigative Dermatology.
